In short
ArmPlay is software made by KadrX LLC. KadrX provides TV operators with software and a technical platform; it does not broadcast and does not sell subscriptions. You enter your operator's code and see that operator's service: its channels, recordings and films. The TV service is provided to you by your operator: your contract is with them, you pay them, and you contact them about your subscription. KadrX has no content of its own: KadrX does not host, select, store or distribute content.
Who is who
- KadrX LLC ("KadrX", "we") — the developer of the ArmPlay app and of the technical platform on which the operator runs its service. KadrX provides software only.
- Operator — an independent company that provides your TV service: it issues your account, selects and connects channels and films itself, sets plans and prices, takes payment and supports subscribers. The operator acts in its own name and is not an agent or representative of KadrX.
- You — the operator's subscriber using the app.
Content and the operator's responsibility
- All content (channels, programmes, recordings, films) is connected by the operator. Content belongs to its rights holders.
- KadrX does not select content, does not review it in advance and is not responsible for it: the operator is responsible for the legality, line-up, quality and availability of content.
- By connecting to the platform, the operator confirms to KadrX that it holds the rights to show all content it connects, and is itself responsible for that content to subscribers and rights holders.
- Claims about content should be addressed to the operator. If such claims are made against KadrX, the operator settles them and compensates KadrX for its losses under the operator platform terms.
Your account
- You can sign in with an account issued by your operator or one you created when signing up.
- Do not share your login and password. The number of devices that can watch at the same time is set by your operator's subscription.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. If someone learns your password, change it with your operator.
What you may and may not do
The app is for personal, non-commercial viewing of your operator's service. Subscribers may not:
- use the app to watch, show or pass on content without the rights to it;
- record, copy, pass on to others or show content publicly unless your operator expressly allows it;
- bypass stream protection, tamper with the app, or reverse-engineer it to access content without a subscription;
- disrupt the service: create excessive load, guess passwords, or use other people's accounts.
Operators may not connect content to the platform without the rights to it.
If these rules are broken, the operator or KadrX may restrict or close access.
Copyright complaints
If you are a rights holder or act on a rights holder's behalf and believe that an operator shows content in the app in violation of your rights, write to support@kadrx.net marked "Copyright complaint". Include:
- who you are and how to contact you;
- which content infringes your rights: title, operator (name or code), channel, date and time it was shown;
- on what basis you hold the rights or act on the rights holder's behalf;
- a statement that the information in the complaint is accurate and that you believe in good faith the showing is unlawful.
What happens next:
- We confirm receipt and forward the complaint to the operator. We review it within a reasonable time, usually up to 7 days.
- If the operator does not confirm its rights to that content, the content is switched off.
- An operator that infringes rights repeatedly is disconnected from the platform.
- If the operator confirms its rights, we inform the complainant. The dispute is then between the rights holder and the operator: KadrX is not a party to it.
Payment
KadrX does not sell subscriptions or take payment for them. The app does not take payments and never sees card details. You pay for your subscription to your operator, under their terms and prices; refunds are also decided by the operator. On Samsung, LG and Hisense TVs, the "Renew subscription" button (if the operator has enabled it) shows a QR code: payment is made on your phone with the operator. Editions from Google Play and the App Store have no in-app purchases and no such button.
Help from your operator
To help you without calls or visits, your operator (and you yourself from a phone signed in to your account) can control the app on your device remotely: restart it, sign it out, start a channel, recording or film, control playback, lock the screen, turn the set-top box or TV off and on, and change settings. The app does not execute received code and does not install software. See the Privacy Policy for details.
No warranties and limitation of liability
- The app and the platform are provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranty that they will work without interruptions or errors or suit your purposes. Maintenance, network failures and outages at your operator can happen.
- KadrX is not responsible for the operator's content, for the availability, quality and prices of the operator's service, for the operator's acts or omissions, or for losses related to them.
- To the extent permitted by law, KadrX is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or loss of data. The app is free for you, so KadrX's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid directly to KadrX, if any.
- These terms do not limit rights that the law of your country does not allow to be limited.
Suspension
KadrX may suspend or end the app's service for an account or disconnect an operator from the platform if these terms or the rights of others are violated, if the law requires it, or if the operator stops working with the platform. In that case, questions about your subscription and payment are handled by the operator.
Updates
We release app updates to fix bugs and add features. Some updates may be required for the app to keep working.
Ending use
You can stop using the app at any time: sign out, delete your account (in the phone app: Profile → "Delete account"; the TV and set-top box apps have no such option, so delete it from a phone signed in to the same account or write to support@kadrx.net; see account deletion), or uninstall the app. Your TV service contract ends under your operator's rules.
App stores
- These terms are between you and KadrX, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content, have no obligation to support it, and do not handle claims relating to the app.
- If you installed the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Armenia, where KadrX LLC is registered, unless the law of your country gives you the right to another. We first try to resolve disputes by email at support@kadrx.net.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date of the last change is shown at the top of this page. By continuing to use the app after a change, you accept it.
